We have an exciting opportunity in our Brewery for a Packaging Operative to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in Brewing.  Not only will you be working alongside our fabulous production team, but the right candidate will have the opportunity for further development by way of completing an Level 4 Brewing apprenticeship.

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate must demonstrate a passion for the industry and our brand with a can-do approach. Whilst previous experience in manufacturing environments is desirable it is not essential. A forklift course can be provided for those candidates without a license. Competent Microsoft Office skills are desirable. The ability to communicate effectively and work in a team is necessary as the role involves working in a packaging team and alongside brewing, engineering, planning and warehouse. Record keeping skills are a prerequisite.

To ensure our beers are packaged in mini kegs, kegs and casks to the highest Quality Standards whilst working against a production plan. This should all be done whilst following Standard Operating Procedures and working in a safe manner as set out by our Health and Safety Policy and procedures.

We expect the candidate to be able to work rotational shifts whilst remaining flexible as production plans are subject to change. Shifts are dependent on the types of packaging and the production volumes however, standard shifts currently are 6.30am-3pm and 9.30am-6pm.

We want the candidate to be able to set up production lines; carry out basic Quality checks both in the laboratory and on the line to ensure product is to specification; set up and starting Cleaning In Place (CIP); responsible for carrying out some maintenance, hygiene and housekeeping duties; and to move raw materials and final stock via a forklift.
