About Adnams

Curious about who we are, what we do and how we do it? Discover the principles that guide us.

To cut a long story short…

We love what we do, and we’ve done it for a while now – 150 years to be exact. We are distinctive brewers, distillers, wine merchants, retailers, publicans, and hoteliers.

We craft well-loved premium beers and spirits, and work with some wonderful producers to bring you the best wines in the world. Our stores, hotels, pubs, and inns reflect our individuality and the personality of our incredible teams. Our focus, and theirs, is to create memorable moments and to give our customers experiences that delight.

Pioneering spirit…

Being on the coast in Southwold is more than a geography thing, it’s a way of life. When looking out the window and far out to sea, we see a world of possibilities. We are fiercely independent. It has allowed us to be innovative and to do things our own way, but we have always been committed to a sustainable future; one in which progress is balanced with care, thought and consideration for our environment and our communities.

Innovative & Evolving

We’ve been here for 150 years and we want to be around for 150 more. We are always exploring, growing, learning, and changing, so we can stay ahead and stay fresh. We search out new and better ways of working to be more efficient, and to reduce our demand on natural resources.

Distinctive quality

Our products are made from grain to glass in Southwold. We don’t make them anywhere else. We are committed to using locally sourced ingredients, because frankly, they’re the best. Our services are delivered with enthusiasm, care, and attention, to create lasting memories.

Sustainable Success

The only impact we want to have, is on your tastebuds. We want to make a positive difference and do the right thing. Ask any of us. Our commitment to sustainability sees us put our principles into practice, looking beyond ourselves to our communities and our planet.

We’ve been on a journey. We’ve evolved from simply doing the right thing, to creating a full-fledged award-winning framework which makes complete business sense. We value our Suffolk home and we’re committed to protecting its future, because we aim to leave our footprints in the sand, not on the planet.
