Warehouse Operative

This a temporary role until 03 January 2024 

45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a shift pattern + the occasional Saturday working. 

Our Distribution Centre is situated just a couple of miles away from our brewery in Southwold and is the warehousing and delivery hub for Adnams beers, spirits, and wine. Our Warehouse team are great fun and work very work hard to provide the best quality service. We are looking for a true team player with a passion for our products.

What are we looking for?

As a Warehouse Operative you will be picking and replenishing stock using electronic handheld devices, ensure all paperwork is completed accurately along with other more general warehousing duties all while Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to.  Housekeeping on a day-to-day basis is imperative and all team members are required to keep the workplace safe and tidy.

Previous experience in a similar role or environment with a Forklift licence is preferred and knowledge of our products will be a distinct advantage but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.

You will be manually handling heavy goods so it’s important you are physically fit, agile and have good core body strength.

You must be a good communicator and customer focussed, a true team player and be able to adapt to a range of various tasks.  Polite and well-mannered nature is essential when customer facing.

Ideal candidates will provide flexibility as there will be a requirement to work more hours in busy periods and may have shift changes at short notice.
