Senior Brand Manager Bowmore - Glasgow

The original Islay Single Malt, Bowmore already has a reputation as one of the world’s most desirable Single Malt brands, with an ambition to become the most collectible Single Malt and second biggest Prestige Malt brand by 2040. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident Senior Brand Manager to work within the global brand team and play a key role in achieving Bowmore’s brand vision and ambition.  As a key member of the team, you are passionate, creative, strategic and agile, looking to continuously drive the most distinctive approach within the single malt category, ensure the best value realisation for the brand while engaging new consumers with elevated brand experiences, innovation and communication in line with the brand agenda.

This role will support the Global Brand Director and Bowmore Marketing Manager to ensure all project goals, timelines and budgets are adhered to as well as the smooth running of the projects across external agencies, internal teams and key markets. In doing so, this role will inspire local team to deliver our brand goals whilst continually identifying opportunities to improve the quality of delivery.

Working closely with the Bowmore prestige team, innovation, insights and distillery teams, this role will be one of the key points of contact for the brand across global markets.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage or support on key projects relating to our brand strategy – for example, reviews of our range architecture, pricing strategy, experience programs, etc.
  • Develop world class assets and programs that can be utilized by key markets online & offline to build brand equity
  • Support the ongoing definition and development of the new digital eco-system
  • Work closely with PBMC markets, ensuring our brand strategies are deployed successfully and that the markets have what they need to execute brilliantly
  • Inspire & support in market teams to launch brand innovation brilliantly online and offline, in domestic & GTR
  • Develop brand education & advocacy programs as well as identifying trade engagement opportunities within key initiatives
  • Support performance analysis/management process for Scotch & Irish Portfolio to identify key issues/opportunities.  Assess the ‘what and why’ and make recommendations on actions
  • Support the Brand Director & Global Marketing Manager to ensure asset needs are understood, communicated/delivered and deployed successfully
  • Manage BI budget ensuring accurate accounting of spend
  • Identify best practices, using them to improve our programs/assets and/or inspire local markets
  • Key relationships with Scotch brand team members, Innovation, Prestige, digital teams, BS Commercial markets, Ops, Finance, Global Insights, Visitor Centre and Distillery teams, External Agencies: creative, design, PR

Qualifications

  • University educated (Degree in Business/Marketing preferred)
  • 5+ years brand management experience or creative/innovation management experience
  • Experience working with commercial finance team (and an understanding of P&L dynamics)
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience in managing multi-dimensional projects with multiple inputs and outputs
  • Track record of cross-functional team leadership and generating motivation/enthusiasm for break-through marketing

  • Travel may be required – up to 15% of time
  • Experience within in premium/luxury Spirits or other luxury sectors
