Shop Manager
We are seeking a presentable, friendly, energetic and enthusiastic Shop Manager for 3-4 days work a week, or Full Time 5 days a week. WSET Award Level 3 or above preferred.
Exceptional personal customer service combined with knowledge and passion for our wine/spirits products is key to this role.
This is a front-line sales consultancy role selling wine to customers with expertise and confidence, offering food and wine pairing advice when required. The role requires a strong attention to detail and admin skills. The business owner is often on-site or working from home and offers constant collaboration and support.
Other responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day stock levels in the shop and weekly orders to suppliers
- Price checking for ensure correct margins
- Uploading new products to our e-commerce website and keeping pricing accurate
- Liaising with trade customers for weekly orders
- Picking and invoicing wholesale orders
- Maintaining stock spreadsheets and POS reports
- Promoting and helping to organise WSET courses through the shop, liaising with our WSET Educator.
- Promoting and helping to run customer events and Tastings
- Writing occasional Mailchimp newsletters/offers
- Managing the team for our evening Wine Bar Thursday-Friday; this role could also be part of the hours or worked additionally.
