Key responsibilities

As the Domaine Evremond Sales, Marketing and Events Manager (Maternity Leave Support), you will be responsible driving D2C sales, managing D2C marketing and communications, organising and managing on-site and off-site events, management of brand partnerships and via line management responsibilities, you will have oversight export sales and on-site winery maintenance.

Further details of the key job responsibilities are below:

Sales – via Hatch Mansfield

  • Work with the Hatch Mansfield marketing team to ensure Hatch marketing assets/plans are as aligned with the DE brand image and priorities. Please note that the sales relationship with Hatch Mansfield will primarily be led by Domaine Evremond’s Commercial Director.
  • Host key trade visits at the winery.
  • Attend off-site trade visits where necessary.

 

Sales – Direct to consumer

  • Oversight of all D2C sales, across Domaine Evremond’s cellar door and online shop.
  • Ensuring marketing and communications plan align with, and drive forward, D2C sales. This should include effective management of SEO, targeted ads and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Working closely with the Cellar Door Manager to ensure smooth running of cellar door and achievement of cellar door sales initiatives, within approved budgets.
  • Drive forward corporate gifting and corporate partner sales.

 

Marketing and communications

  • Management of consumer marketing budget to ensure spend remains within approved budgets.
  • Management of, and frequent communications with, contracted marketing and communications agency, to ensure work is within budget and agreed contract terms.
  • Oversight of all consumer communications, including social media, newsletters and other marketing/brand assets.
  • Oversight of PR activity alongside contracted marketing and communications agency, including national and international press communications, events and visits.

 

Events

  • Working alongside the Cellar Door Manager to manage events at the winery, including: consumer events, trade events and corporate events.
  • Lead event planning, budgeting and execution.
  • Represent Domaine Evremond at external events – trade and consumer – where needed.

Brand partnerships

  • Manage existing brand partnerships, in and outside of the sector. This includes charity support partnerships.
  • Manage existing corporate partnerships and drive forward new corporate partnerships.
 

 

Site management

  • Via line management responsibility, oversight of the daily maintenance of the winery and landscaping. Management of this will be covered by an existing staff member.

 

Export sales

  • Via line management responsibility, oversight of all export sales (20 export markets). Management of this will be covered by an existing staff member (Export Manager). The Export Manager is also supported by the Commercial Director.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent communication, presentation and written skills
  • A strong understanding of the UK wine industry and the wider drinks industry
  • Experience in D2C sales and marketing, preferably in luxury goods
  • WSET Level 2 is desirable, but a keen interest in wine is a must
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
