SALES INTERN – OFF TRADE

This role provides comprehensive support to the Off-Trade Grocery team across a portfolio of leading luxury wines and spirits brands.The position supports both internal sales operations and customer-facing activities, helping ensure smooth commercial execution across key grocery customers. The role will contribute to sales planning, promotional execution, performance analysis and operational coordination, enabling the team to deliver strong brand and commercial performance in the grocery channel.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial & In-Store Support:

  • Conduct store visits across key grocery retailers to review promotional execution, pricing, competitor activity and in-store media presence.
  • Provide feedback and insights from the market to support commercial decision making.
  • Support the team in preparing for customer meetings, range reviews and commercial planning discussions.

Promotional & Commercial Execution:

  • Support the planning and tracking of promotional activity across grocery customers.Maintain promotion planners and internal trackers to ensure alignment with customer activity.
  • Assist with the communication of promotional pricing updates internally.
  • Upload and maintain promotional information on customer portals where required.

Digital Shelf & Product Asset Management:

  • Support the Grocery E-Retail Manager by ensuring Brand Bank is supplied with accurate and up-to-date product images and digital assets for both live and forthcoming products.
  • Develop and maintain the Grocery resource library, ensuring accurate product data and product/case artwork PDFs are available for every live and forthcoming SKU.
  • Support the maintenance of digital assets used across grocery retailer platforms to ensure product information is accurate and consistent.

Financial Tracking & Commercial Administration:

  • Track and verify invoices related to promotional activity, including media, secondary space and activation support.
  • Cross-check activity against agreed Joint Business Plans and commercial agreements.
  • Assist with raising and tracking internal commercial forms and approvals.
  • Maintain records of promotional investment and commercial activity.

Sales Performance & Analysis:

  • Support weekly EPOS tracking and analysis to identify performance trends and opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing internal sales commentary and reports.
  • Compile summaries of marketing and activation activity across the grocery channel.

Supply & Order Coordination:

  • Support the review and approval of customer orders in collaboration with Customer Services and Supply Chain teams.
  • Assist with aligning demand planning cycles and forecasting with customer promotional activity.
  • Monitor stock availability and help coordinate communication around supply.

Events & Customer Engagement:

  • Support the organisation of customer events, tastings and training sessions.
  • Coordinate samples, point-of-sale materials and guest lists where required.
  • Raise and track free goods requests for sampling activity.
