Sales Account Manager - North West

We import the best spirits from around the world and flog them to bars, clubs, restaurants, wholesalers, hotels and speakeasies. We are looking for an Account Manager to join our tight knit family who will be accountable to grow the distribution of core Spirit Cartel brands throughout the north of England, mainly Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool.

The Role

The core element of this position will be to agree and deliver listings for our key portfolio brands including, but not limited to, Four Roses Bourbon/Tito’s Vodka/Worthy Park Rum/818 Tequila & Clase Azul Tequila. This will include gaining House Pour agreements, cocktail listings and distribution.  This vacancy goes beyond just sales with the need for an entrepreneurial spirit and creativity to secure brand, marketing and sales activations. This role will also involve the growth of our super premium brands centred around the Clase Azul Tequila range in the relevant account base. This is a sales focused position with a focus on deliverables.

What You Will be Doing

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Gain KPI level Pouring/Cocktail/Listing agreements across our portfolio of spirits
  2. Deliver budgeted sales volume by securing listings against an identified customer target list
  3. Understand and deliver commercial agreements & plans with key customers across the On Trade
  4. Identify future areas of growth
  5. Establish and profitably build relationships with decision makers and bartenders in key outlets
  6. Support wholesalers: build relationships & knowledge within their sales team to support our endeavours.
  7. Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the key outlets across your area.
  8. Implement and deliver training programmes across the portfolio; help with preparation of cocktail lists
  9. Keep the Company one step ahead of the competition by feeding back brand and market intelligence
  10. Champion and articulate our brand portfolio USP’s to internal and external key customers
  11. The successful applicant will organise customer meetings and events to build awareness of the brands, with a responsibility to maintain customer relationships and control costs.

The Position Holder

The successful candidate will have the below:

  • A UK driving licence
  • A strong understanding of the Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds spirits market and current trends in the on / off trade
  • A solid understanding of commercials, P&L management and ROI
  • Be able to demonstrate sales delivery
  • An outstanding communicator
  • A self-starter who thrives on being given their own space to develop effective business plans
  • Experience of having existing relationships with customers in all channels and awareness of the opportunities to be explored
  • Good knowledge of potential customers within your territory
  • A team player with the confidence to offer solutions at all times
  • Sales driven but with a clear desire to work with brands
  • A flexible approach to working within a team

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm. There will be some evening (and potentially weekend) work when you will have to visit certain customers, potential customers and / or attend events.
