Regional Sales Manager – North West & Midlands

We are proud to be the largest family owned and family-run wine importer in the UK. We have been selling premium wine since 1964 to our ever growing customer base which includes both the on and off trade.

The Role

 

Berkmann Wine Cellars has an extremely envious portfolio and due to an internal promotion we are on the search for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) who will seek out new on trade outlets to place our wine in whilst growing our profitability with our current customer base in the North West & Midlands region.

What You will be Doing

 

The primary purpose of this position is to successfully lead and deliver profitable sustainable growth within the independent on-trade sector, focussing on Premium Restaurants, Hotels and Gastro Pubs.

 

You will be responsible for delivering the team budget and will also have a personal budget to achieve as part of the total team profit number. Through exceptional leadership you will project positivity whilst coaching and developing team employees to maximise their ability of achieving success. You will also play a key part in the management and resolution of customer related issues.

Sitting as part of the Sales Leadership team, you will support the Head of Sales Regions to create and implement creative sales strategies that will then be activated in the area.

The Position Holder

 

The successful applicant will hold a WSET Level 2 (minimum) and will be able to demonstrate selling expertise and strong knowledge / experience of the wine trade in the North West and Midlands. Whilst being an exceptional communicator and leader you will be advanced on MS Office and will hold a UK driving license.

Working Pattern

 

This isn’t a 9-5 job; it will be hard work and you will need to be entrepreneurial whilst also having fun. You will be managing customer expectations, running promotions and hosting events.
