PROCUREMENT CATEGORY MANAGER - LUXURY - BELLSHILL

Procurement Category Manager – Luxury Packaging

The Opportunity

Join William Grant & Sons as a Procurement Category Manager, taking responsibility for our luxury packaging categories that play a critical role in protecting, presenting and enhancing our premium brands.

You will develop and deliver category plans, manage supplier relationships and lead sourcing activity across a varied and business-critical packaging portfolio. Working closely with Brand, Marketing, New Product Development, Technical, Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain stakeholders, you will balance creativity and innovation with commercial value, quality, sustainability, risk and continuity of supply.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong category management foundations who enjoys working collaboratively across the business, understanding both brand and operational requirements, and making a practical commercial difference.

This is a role for someone who is self-sufficient, curious and confident in taking ownership. The category will be yours to shape, with the opportunity to strengthen category foundations, identify long term priorities and influence how luxury packaging is sourced and managed across the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and deliver luxury packaging category plans aligned with brand, innovation and business priorities.
  • Lead sourcing, negotiation and contract management across premium bottles, closures, labels, cartons, gift boxes and decorative finishes.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to develop commercially viable, technically achievable and distinctive packaging solutions.
  • Build relationships with suppliers that bring innovation, specialist capability and technical expertise.
  • Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, service, innovation, sustainability and delivery.
  • Analyse spend, markets, cost drivers, demand and supplier capability to support category planning.
  • Identify cost, value, specification and sustainability improvements without compromising quality or brand positioning.
  • Manage supply risks, including supplier capacity, materials, tooling, quality and continuity of supply.
  • Maintain effective supplier agreements, specifications, performance measures and procurement governance.
  • Support procurement savings and value targets while constructively challenging existing ways of working.

About You

  • Category management experience within packaging, ideally in luxury goods, premium consumer products, drinks, FMCG, cosmetics or manufacturing.
  • Experience sourcing premium packaging components would be beneficial.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, supplier relationship and analytical skills.
  • An understanding of how to balance brand ambition, quality, technical feasibility, sustainability and value.
  • Proactive and self-sufficient, with the confidence to shape and drive the category.
  • Able to build trusted relationships with creative, commercial, operational and technical stakeholders.
  • A collaborative and credible culture fit who reflects William Grant & Sons’ values and challenges constructively.
