Les Caves de Pyrène is a Guildford-based importer, agent, distributor and retailer of wines from around the world. Our agency list is ever-growing, as is the number of international customers we work with on an Ex-Cellars and export basis.  We are currently looking for a hardworking team player to join our International Sales & Logistics Department.  We are a small, collaborative team, seeking a candidate with a high level of written and spoken Italian and/or Spanish, who will bring with them a positive attitude and a good sense of humour.

 

In this role, you will act as a crucial link between our international suppliers and overseas customers, ensuring that purchase orders are prepared and collected seamlessly. To thrive in this fast-paced environment, you will need sharp communication skills, an analytical mindset and excellent attention to detail. This position requires someone who is highly organised and who excels under tight deadlines.  In addition to administrative responsibilities, there may also be an opportunity to travel internationally on an occasional basis, supporting our team at global wine trade fairs and industry events.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for international orders, connecting both our suppliers and customers.
  • Confidently reviewing and managing customs documentation and international regulations to guarantee hassle-free, cross-border shipping.
  • Reviewing, cross-checking and logging incoming invoices with a sharp, precise eye for numbers.
  • Maintaining and refreshing our website and social media channels to keep our customers engaged.
  • A range of general administrative tasks required to keep our day-to-day departmental operations running smoothly.

Required skills and attributes:

  • Fluency (both written and oral) in English and at least one of the following languages: Italian; Spanish.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and ensure tasks are seen through to conclusion.
  • Strong team player.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Friendly and good-natured manner.
  • Prior wine knowledge and/or a passion to develop further knowledge of wine would be a considerable asset.
  • Please note that this role is office-based.

 

Salary: Based on experience.
