London Sales Manager

Job DescriptionHattingley Valley is a leading English winery, which has grown into one of the largest and most respected producers in the country. We are located near Alresford in Hampshire. Due to the increasing demand for our wines, we are seeking to expand our sales team. We are looking for a proactive, dynamic individual who will manage and seek to grow sales across on & off-trade channels, focussed on London/Greater London.

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, the key responsibilities of the roles are:

  • Own and grow the London sales territory, targeting premium on-trade accounts) and off-trade accounts (independent wine merchants, specialist retailers, luxury department stores).
  • Work directly and collaboratively with our distribution partner to drive and nurture existing business as well as bring new business opportunities.
  • Manage and nurture an existing portfolio of London accounts, building long-term, trusted relationships with key buyers.
  • Negotiate listings, pricing, and promotional terms with buyers and distribution partner, in line with brand positioning guidelines.
  • Act as brand ambassador in London, ensuring consistent messaging and premium presentation across all touchpoints.

About you:

  • Strong existing relationships with London on-trade and/or off-trade buyers.
  • Genuine passion for wine, with knowledge of English sparkling wine or the traditional method category.
  • WSET Level 3 desirable, WSET Level 4 Diploma preferred.
  • Proven ability to win new business and manage accounts over the long term.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously in a field-based role.
  • Familiarity with the English wine industry and its positioning against Champagne and other sparkling categories.
  • An existing on-trade network within London.

Primarily Mon-Fri, the role will be home-based ideally located in London
