Key Account Manager
Due to our continued growth, Drink Warehouse UK is recruiting for a Key Account Manager to join our team within Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, self-motivated individual who enjoys building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and growing an existing account portfolio.
The role is field based, with occasional visits to our HQ, and offers a competitive salary alongside a car or travel allowance and performance-based bonuses. You will plan and organise your own diary to maximise opportunities across your area, working closely with customers, internal teams and brand partners to support continued growth.
We are looking for someone with previous field sales experience, ideally within the drinks industry, who understands products, customer needs and the on-trade environment. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Act as the trusted first point of contact for your key accounts, providing excellent service and commercial support.
- Take time to understand customer needs and recommend the right products, services and solutions to help them succeed.
- Work closely with our brand partners to identify opportunities, promote products and deliver value for customers.
- Follow up leads promptly and confidently, turning opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, preparing detailed proposals as part of the bidding and sales process.
- Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to spot new growth opportunities.
- Develop positive working relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders and brand partners.
- Prepare monthly reports and contribute to weekly sales team meetings, sharing updates, insight and opportunities.
Person Specification
- Previous field sales based experience
- Full clean UK driving licence
- WSET L1 qualification desirable, but is not essential
- Bachelor’s degree desirable, but it is not essential
- Strong communication skills
- Strategic thinker
- Fluency in Microsoft office suite (outlook, excel, word, power point etc)
