The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our marketing team for a Hospitality & Retail Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for taking our brand strategy and turning it into a commercially focused marketing plan that drives footfall, spend per head, room occupancy and visibility across our B2C estate.

You will play a key role in growing our brand presence and shape the stories and experiences that inspire people to visit Southwold and Adnams, bringing Destination Southwold to life through campaigns, PR and communication locally and nationally.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone with experience in retail, hospitality or customer focused marketing, with a passion for bringing brands and places to life. As our Hospitality & Retail Marketing Manager, you will have a strong understanding of customer engagement and the ability to translate brand strategy into effective, results driven marketing activity that inspires people to visit Southwold and Adnams. You will be data curious, able to explore our data and use it to create insights that improve the effectiveness of our marketing.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience delivering marketing campaigns in a fast-paced environment and feel comfortable working collaboratively with our retail, hospitality and wider teams. You will also have experience working with PR, managing multiple projects and using insight and performance data to inform activity and improve how well tell the Destination Southwold story.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bring the Adnams brand and story to life by showcasing our heritage, values and experiences across our pubs, hotels, shops and events, driving visibility and footfall.
  • Lead and deliver marketing campaigns to promote stays, dining, tours, events and retail offers.
  • Tell the story of Destination Southwold in a way that connects with customers nationally by highlighting the experiences that inspire visits to Southwold.
  • Develop and deliver marketing strategies to support commercial goals, including spend per head, room occupancy, footfall and retail performance.
  • Work closely with our retail, hospitality and marketing teams to ensure activity is aligned with our brand tone and delivered effectively across our channels.
  • Manage PR and local marketing opportunities to build awareness, engage customers and increase visibility.
  • Use customer insight and feedback to review activity and inform future marketing plans.
  • Support the wider marketing team to maintain a consistent approach across our channels.
