ABOUT THE ROLE
Account Management: Develop and maintain relationships with major national accounts, including retail chains, distributors, and hospitality groups.
Sales Strategy: Create and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and conditions while maximizing profitability.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to align on promotional activities, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights to senior management.
Training: Educate and train sales teams and partners on product features, benefits, and selling techniques.
Customer Service: Ensure exceptional service levels and satisfaction for all national accounts.
Strong stakeholder management skills – able to create and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders

- Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times

- Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business

ABOUT YOU
Substantial experience in managing National Accounts and implementing sales strategy within a Grocery/ FMCG environment.
Enthusiasm and drive with a will to win
Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
Autonomous, self-starter with a focus on results and customers
Sales experience and/or marketing experience implementing a brand strategy
Ability to tailor approach to achieve sales objectives
Able to manage time and workload to optimize effectiveness and efficiency
Team player also being able to work independently
Understanding of the Grocery Market and wider portfolio and value chain within UK Grocery.
Strong relationships with Key Stakeholders within Grocery.
Highly developed National Account Management and communication skills.
Skilled in managing budgets and analysing financial data.
Experience of using category insights to drive growth
Good understanding of how to develop business via third party sales teams
Share ideas and collaborate with wider sales team through regular interaction.
Drive customer understanding of our business and its points of difference vs. the competition.
