Role Purpose

Reporting to the Chief Winemaker, this hands-on role is pivotal in supporting the creation and finishing of our award-winning wines.  As part of our team, you will work closely with the Chief Winemaker performing key tasks in our cellar.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of a thriving business within the rapidly growing English wine industry.

Attributes:

• A driving licence and own vehicle is essential
• Physical capability to lift up to 25kg and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Not afraid of heights, climbing ladders, confined spaces
• Has the right to work in the UK
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality in all tasks.
• Reliable, meticulous, team-oriented with a practical approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic.
• Familiarity with machinery is advantageous.  Should be able to maintain machinery and undertake basic repairs.
• Has an interest in wine production
• Has good literacy and numeracy skills
• Previous experience in a winery or wine warehouse is not essential, though familiarity with machinery is advantageous.
• Forklift driving experience would be an advantage, but training could be given if required.  The candidate should be comfortable with driving a forklift.

This role may suit someone currently in the brewing or warehousing industries.

Job Type and Salary 

• Full Time, Permanent, 39 hours per week.
• Starting salary – £25,500 per annum.
