Camber Wines Shop & Sales Manager
About the Role
Camber Wines is more than a wine shop. Alongside our retail offering, we supply wines to local restaurants and businesses, run a wine club and host a variety of tastings and wine events.
We are looking for a commercially minded and customer focused Camber Wines Manager to take ownership of the day to day running of the business, with a strong focus on growing sales, developing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
You will bring together a passion for wine, excellent customer service and a proactive approach to sales, while overseeing stock, purchasing, online orders and events. We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in the details and understands how to balance a great customer experience with the commercial needs of a successful business. As Camber Wines continues to develop, there will be opportunities for the right person to grow with the role, take on new challenges and play an important part in shaping the future of the business.

- A proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and build strong, lasting customer relationships.
- A sales focused mindset, with the confidence to identify opportunities, promote products and develop new business.
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of pricing, margins, stock management and the factors that drive profitable sales.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills, particularly when working with wholesale customers and suppliers.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage several priorities independently.
- Confidence using websites, online ordering systems, spreadsheets and invoicing software.
- A proactive approach to developing promotions, wine events and new ways to grow the business.
- A practical, hands-on attitude and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of running Camber Wines.
Working Patterns
This role includes weekend working and occasional evenings to support wine tastings and events. Flexibility is important to ensure Camber Wines continues to deliver an excellent customer experience and make the most of its sales opportunities.
