Brewing Operator - Preston

Salary: £ 43,645.28 per annum

Shifts: 4 on 4 off, 2 days followed by 2 nights

 

Primary purpose and function of position:

 

To undertake daily / weekly / monthly activities in order for the Brewing Department to meet KPI requirements for cost, quality, service and behaviours through agreed ways of working.

  • Operation of automated process control equipment.
  • Quality control activities
  • Mobility around wide departmental area
  • Light manual activities
  • From beer cold cellars areas through filtration to bright beer storage areas
  • Barbican plant operations
  • Bulk tanker operations

 

Key Tasks: Accountabilities

  • Comply with all Statutory & Legal requirements
  • Comply with all Safety, Health & Environment requirements
  • Comply with any appropriate production or food hygiene safety regulations as defined by policy or legislation, such as HACCP
  • Comply with all Product & Process Quality requirements
  • Comply with all Housekeeping, Cleaning & 5S requirements
  • Comply with basic asset care requirements
  • Operate Filtration and area Equipment in order to deliver OTIF (On time in full) (quality & volume) bulk beer to the logisitics and packaging departments while maintaining world class production benchmarking cost
  • Undertake activities to ensure the department meets all of it’s KPI Targets
  • Undertake training for new skills & tasks* within Filtration Department as requested by the First Line Manager
  • Undertake any reasonable production related tasks, as directed by the First Line Manager.
  • Attend Meetings & Briefings as necessary
  • Comply with all documentation and transaction requirements
  • Ensure that all internal & external customer requirements are met.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

  • Standard Grades or equivalent preferable, but not required
  • Production environment experience an advantage
  • All operational training to be able to do the role is provided
  • FLT License may be beneficial
