Why You’ll Love This Role:
As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will have the chance to work on a variety of exciting accounting tasks, including:
- Daily Bank Reconciliation
- Weekly Cashflow Forecasting
- Preparation & posting of month-end journals
- P&L Review with variance analysis & commentary
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Collaboration with Commercial Finance, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable teams
- Processing new supplier setups & credit checks
- Ad hoc tasks that support the Financial Controls team and business-wide goals
You’ll work alongside a talented team, gaining valuable experience and insights while contributing to the financial success of the business.
What We’re Looking For:
We want to hear from passionate individuals who are eager to develop and grow in a finance role. While prior experience in some of the tasks listed is a plus, we are excited to hear from people who may not have everything on the list but have the right attitude and enthusiasm to learn. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- A keen interest in accounting and finance
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliations is a bonus, but not essential
- A self-starter with the ability to take initiative and learn quickly
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle large volumes of data
- Excellent communication skills, and comfortable working with a wide range of teams
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Studier of Accounting Qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or a University Graduate in a related field
- Familiarity with JDE v9.2 accounting software is helpful but not a requirement
