Wine Operations Intern
Sister companies Forum Fine Wine & Bid For Wine are seeking a Wine Operations Intern.
This is a 4-week paid internship (with potential extension to 8 weeks), immediate start
£12.21 per hour, 4 or 5 days a week, 9.30am-5pm
Forum Fine Wine and Bid For Wine are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to assist with the processing of a significant incoming wine consignment during a busy trading period.
This role offers practical, hands-on experience within the fine wine market and is particularly well suited to WSET students or individuals seeking experience in the wine trade, auction sector, or secondary market.
About the Role
You will work closely with our specialist and operations teams to help prepare wines for listing and sale on the Bid For Wine platform. This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into how fine wines are catalogued, assessed, marketed and sold within a commercial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the cataloguing and condition checking of wine consignments
- Researching wines to support accurate and compelling online listings
- Photographing bottles for digital sales platforms
- Preparing and uploading listings to the Bid For Wine site
- Supporting stock handling and warehouse organisation
- Assisting with administrative and logistical tasks during a high-volume period
Ideal Candidate
- Studying towards or holding a WSET qualification (Level 2 or above desirable)
- Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding vintages, producers and condition
- Organised and methodical with good time management skills
- Comfortable handling fine wine carefully and responsibly
- Confident using spreadsheets and online systems
- Interest in the fine wine market, secondary market pricing, and auction processes
