Wine Cellar Warehouse Operative - London

Role Purpose:

The Wine Cellar Warehouse Operative is a hybrid role. Primarily, as a member of the StockOps Replenishment Team you will be responsible for the daily pick of stock and the daily fill of stock to all required floors and areas. This will include successfully executing auto generated picks, manual requests for Hospitality and Concierge team, the implementation and removal of fixtures and reporting found shortages and QC risks. You will be able to process inbound transfers from our external DC as well as direct deliveries from supplier, liaising with the Wines and Spirits Buyers and Merchandising teams, as well as, StockOps supervisors and managers on backfilling and potential risks of out of stocks. Secondly, you will be expected to focus on a service role, learning and developing your knowledge of wines and spirits within your role and throughout the Fortnum’s Business. Aspiring to become an expert Fortnum’s story teller, delivering exceptional service and teamwork in line with our business principles. Ensuring all our customers experience a sense of pleasure and the highest level of service they come to expect.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Pick and replenish all stock generated to the floor via the existing replenishment system.
  • Communicate stock shortages to your supervisors and/or manager and via the existing systemic process.
  • To work effectively as a member of the Warehouse Distribution Team, through effective and appropriate communication.
  • To work effectively as a member of the Wine Cellar Team, through effective and appropriate communication.
  • Date rotate when placing stock in location and flag any stock deemed short dated to your supervisor/manager at point of delivery.
  • Drive the correct business process to ensure consistency & accuracy from a Stock Operations perspective.
  • Monitor/action/reply to emails (shared and own) where appropriate.
  • Undertake such duties considered essential for the effective operation of the warehouse.
  • To use all equipment provided in a safe and correct manner, in accordance with business procedures and safety rules.
  • Ensure that all housekeeping requirements are being met.
  • Ensure presentation, grooming and personal hygiene is always at a high level and within company requirements
  • Be a role model to deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Develop and maintain a great rapport with our customers.
  • Ensure an achieving together team approach.
  • Comply with all F&M working policies and practices as laid out in our handbook.
