The Role:
We are looking for a Trade Marketing Executive with a challenger mindset to transform trade marketing within our Sales channel. You will champion customer-centricity in activations across key accounts, engaging both customers and consumers to create innovative trade initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead development of the go-to-market strategy for assigned channel, collaborating with Sales Team, Channel Executives, and other departments.
- Translate trade marketing strategy into impactful initiatives, collaborating with external agencies.
- Utilize consumer insights to guide profitable volume uplift and brand experience.
- Engage with Sales and Merchandising agencies to optimize Trade Marketing resources.
- Drive 52-week calendar execution at store, point-of-sale, and head office levels.
- Develop action plans to address gaps and focus Sales teams on profitable solutions.
- Establish a thorough understanding of channel opportunities and needs, developing a 1-year game plan.
- Manage activation budget expenditure, ensure on-time delivery of activations, and align with brand values.
- Collaborate with the Brand Content Deployment team to develop convenience activations and retailer incentives.
Who we’re looking for:
- Preferred: Previous field sales or trade/marketing experience; project management experience
- Asset: Brand or trade marketing experience; category management experience
- Strong team orientation and excellent communication, and negotiation skills
- Focused, detailed, and disciplined task approach; ability to prioritize projects.
- Building relationships with stakeholders for aligned outcomes.
- Deep understanding of customer and shopper behaviour drivers
- Driving change and innovation for business growth and cost control
- Passion for business results, focusing on ROI and delivering metrics within budget.
