As a Senior Brewer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the brewing and packaging personnel to safely and sustainably brew and package the beer requirements to deliver exceptional quality, volume and cost efficiency to ensure there is sufficient stock available to service the customers.

The role: Senior Brewer
As a Senior Brewer, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the brewing and packaging personnel to safely and sustainably brew and package the beer requirements to deliver exceptional quality, volume and cost efficiency to ensure there is sufficient stock available to service the customers.
Key responsibilities:
Leadership of the team leaders and team members for brewing, fermenting and cask racking to enable effective performance through agreed objectives to deliver the company vision and the brewery goals.
Operational management of the team leaders and team members for brewing, fermenting and cask racking to ensure production schedules are met.
Ensure compliance to the quality system and Health and safety policies.
Planning and scheduling of weekly brewing, racking and tanker programs ensuring the optimal resources are available.
Innovation – working with the Head Brewer and marketing to support the company NPD agenda.
Working with the Quality and Health and Safety Managers to ensure the annual training plans are effectively delivered to ensure compliance standards are met.
Working with the engineering team to ensure brewery sustainability and utility monthly KPIs are achieved.
Agreeing team leaders and team member development plans and working with the Head Brewer and Operations Directors on key role succession plans.
Duty brewer rota – out of hours call and weekend rota to cover essential brewing and brewery duties, fermentation monitoring and team member support.
