Pricing Manager - 18 month FTC - West Midlands

Purpose of the Role

Stonegate Pub Company is the largest pub company in the UK, operating around 4,800 managed, leased and tenanted pubs. This role will be responsible for pricing activity, including playing a lead role in company price changes, supporting format offer developments, support in set-up and analysis of key company promotional and price activity. Also heading up the pricing decisions for investments. Key stakeholders include the Head of Commercial Planning, Marketing Managers, Data, and the Ops Directors. This role will have the support of four direct reports.

Key Responsibilties

Key role in developing and maintaining the group pricing strategy and processes

  • Use data to review, develop and model the impact of the format pricing strategies / structures
  • Maximise revenue by identifying price opportunities through the offer change process working closely with the Commercial Planning Team
  • Involvement in post analysis and insights into the impact of price and offer changes
  • Drive process improvements to enable us to work efficiently and react quickly to performance shifts and market movements

Key workstream support

  • Performance analysis of pricing and promotions
  • Providing pricing and margin forecasts for all company investments
  • Supporting the Head of Margin Management in key projects
  • Play an active role in supporting and analysis of pricing trials
  • New system support

Managing a team

  • Developing and managing workloads of four Commercial Business Partners

Key skills

  • Highly analytical with strong Commercial acumen
  • IT literacy and strong Excel skills
  • Capable of interpreting and presenting financial information to different audiences verbally and using e.g. PowerPoint / written comms
  • Knowledge of EPOS data or other Business Intelligence applications are essential
  • Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Good organisation and time management skills are essential to this role
  • Desire to ‘get the job done’, certain time periods may be busier than others
  • People development

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ideal candidate is commercially focused, analytically minded and a strategic thinker.
  • Good communication and influencing skills and a can-do attitude.
  • Experience in Commercial / Pricing roles in a product environment is essential.
  • Experience of managing and coaching a team is essential.

The Solihull Pub Support Team offices are light and airy offices in Shirley, Solihull, where you will be greeted by our Welcome Team.
