Purpose of the role

A unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the commercial team across C&C Group has become available in the role of National Account Manager.

Within C&C Group we have a portfolio of fantastic brands, including Magners, Orchard Pig, Menabrea, Heverlee and Tennent’s Lager.  Whilst we know how great these products are, we are looking for an experienced salesperson to be their strategist and spokesperson.  You will aim to understand the characteristics of each one inside and out, working closely with stakeholders throughout C&C Group to magnify the strengths of each product and lead with a robust sales strategy across the GB Off Trade.  Collaborating with various stakeholders across the business, you’ll use your analytical skills to track performance, make data-based decisions, identify commercial opportunities and deliver against projections.

 

About the role

This role involves developing and executing a robust sales strategy for C&C’s own brands, with focus on beer and cider, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives. You will be responsible for maintaining clear and consistent communication with key stakeholders in the Off Trade sector while building and managing strong cross-functional relationships within the organization. Regular performance tracking and KPI updates to the management team are crucial aspects of this role. Additionally, you will deliver customer-specific brand and marketing activities, while regularly analyzing the customer outlet base to understand category information and align with market trends.

 

About you

You have experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple wholesale accounts. Your career in FMCG, ideally involving beer and/or cider, is marked by consistent achievements, driven by your strong mathematical and analytical skills. You possess excellent sales and negotiation abilities, supported by advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Your deep knowledge of beer and cider, along with familiarity with other drink categories, further enhances your expertise, along with previous experience in managing a P&L. While formal qualifications in the drinks industry would be advantageous, your demonstrated success and experience in sales are the key assets you bring to the table.
