We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join the IWSC Marketing team as a Marketing Executive. If you are a creative, self-motivated professional with a passion for wine and/or spirits and at least 3 years of marketing experience in the industry, this role could be the perfect fit for you.

Role Overview:

The purpose of this role is to support the Marketing Manager in developing internal and external communications and content strategies. You will create, manage, and deliver engaging communications and content that align with the IWSC brand. Experience in digital content development and social media is essential.

Key responsibilities are:

  • Oversee day-to-day content production and management processes.
  • Manage content distribution across various channels, including media, website, social media, and external partners.
  • Ensure all IWSC communications are released in a timely manner according to the marketing plan.
  • Write and edit marketing emails, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Create, edit, and optimise SEO-driven content with the appropriate tone for our audience.
  • Assist with the production of marketing materials using Canva, PowerPoint, and other design tools.
  • Create, optimise, and schedule social media content, including paid social posts.
  • Manage and maintain IWSC’s social media accounts.
  • Create and optimise Google Ads campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyse website traffic and social media performance using Google Analytics and other tools; provide regular internal reports.
  • Support IWSC judging events by ensuring branding and marketing materials are in place and creating event content (interviews, announcements, etc.).
  • Commission and manage third-party suppliers, such as photographers, designers, and videographers, ensuring they receive clear briefs and send their deliverables on time.

This is a job for you if you are/have:

  • Highly computer literate with excellent editing and proofreading skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Experience writing content for websites, press releases, and newsletters.
  • Experience using CMS tools and a passion for digital technology.
  • Knowledge of communication channels and the ability to adapt content and style for each.
  • Experience managing creative projects and working with external providers.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms.
  • A self-starter with excellent prioritisation, deadline management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • At least 3 years of marketing, communication, and content management experience.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, and Google Analytics.
  • Some knowledge of SEO.
  • A strong interest in wine and spirits, preferably WSET Level 2 or higher.
