ABOUT THE ROLE
JOB PURPOSE:
To support our UK & International sales team via commercial analysis, reporting and being the team systems expert; using Adaptive, SAP, Power BI and Excel to ensure the reporting is accurate and reliable.
KEY RESULT AREA / PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Providing daily, weekly and monthly reporting to inform the Business Units on performance against budget and prior years.
Being the team systems expert, using Adaptive, SAP, Power BI and Excel to ensure the reporting is accurate and reliable.
Utilising our existing reporting to produce the weekly and monthly rates forecast file to accurately report on actuals and ROY forecast for all business channels.
Managing the weekly profit forecasting process using inputs from the volume forecasting system, SAP and trade spend trackers.
Working closely with Sales Managers and Commercial Finance Managers to provide the tools to allow investment proposals to be reviewed and analysed.
Maintaining trade spend accruals, reviewing invoices received and following up on any issues arising.
Supporting the rest of the Commercial Finance team with all kinds of ad hoc requests for information, analyses and invoice processing.
Utilising existing tools to leverage reporting (Adaptive, PowerBI, etc).
KEY RELATIONSHIPS – INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL:
Work closely with the UK Commercial Lead across all channels in the business.
Drive a collaborative working culture across both the finance and non finance functions, working closely to ensure fulfilment of business requirements whilst encouraging openness and approachability.
Work together with the other departments to ensure the smooth running of the total operation.
Make decisions based on what is best for the business and not just your department.
ABOUT YOU
CRITERIA
ESSENTIAL
QUALIFICATIONS & SPECIFIC TRAINING
2 years experience in an FMCG or commercial environment.
Degree qualified or working towards an Accountancy qualification.
EXPERIENCE
Working across multiple company systems with reconciliation requirements.
Experience gained in an organisation or environment with a high degree of complexity and pace.
A background in businesses going through rapid growth is desirable.
KNOWLEDGE
Wide knowledge of company systems (Power BI, Adaptive, SAP)
Commercial awareness.
SKILLS
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Excellent Excel capabilities with experience of manipulating large volumes of data
Ability to prioritise and adapt to workload
