Export Manager (Outstanding brand with huge international appeal and recognition)
Role Overview:
The Export Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the export strategy to increase the market share of The Company in key international markets. This role involves identifying new opportunities, managing relationships with international distributors and clients, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. You will be working with one of the most successful and high profile celebrity wine brands in Europe!
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Strategy Development:
- Conduct market research to identify new export opportunities and assess potential markets.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive export strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to optimize market entry strategies.
- Client & Distributor Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with international clients, distributors, and partners.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with overseas distributors and customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service to maintain and grow client relationships.
- Sales & Marketing:
- Develop and implement sales plans to achieve export sales targets.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create tailored promotional materials and campaigns for international markets.
- Participate in international trade shows, exhibitions, and events to promote The Company’s brands.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including documentation, labelling, and shipping requirements.
- Support to Operations Team when necessary to work with customs brokers and freight forwarders to facilitate smooth logistics and shipment processes.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade laws and policies affecting the wine industry.
- Financial & Administrative Tasks:
- Support to Operations Team when necessary to prepare export documentation.
- Manage export budgets and financial forecasting.
- Monitor and report on export sales performance and KPIs.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in international business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Substantial (likely minimum of 3-5 years) experience in export management, preferably in the wine or beverage industry.
- WSET Level 2 qualification minimum.

- Proficiency in foreign languages is a plus.

Location:
- Initially Office based a few days a week in London with scope to move to more of a remote based setup once you are settled in to the company and the role (Overseas European Travel is very much part of the job)
