Highweald is a new, award-winning English Sparkling Wine producer based near Haywards Heath in West Sussex. We make top-quality, traditional method sparkling and still wine. We have ambitious plans for growth based on the 150 acres of vineyard we now own, our winery and the visitor centres we will have opened this summer.

We are expanding our Sales Team and are searching for a driven Business Development Manager who has experience working in Southeast England wine sales including on/off and wholesale channels.

The Southeast Business Development Manager’s focus is to:

  • Win new business and manage accounts to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the successful planning and implementation & execution of commercial agreements to deliver volume & revenue as well as brand building activations.
  • Build relationships with key channel partners across all channels.
  • Continue to develop our customer base across the region.

Your Profile

  • You have 1-2 years of experience in a Sales/Business Development role within drinks, ideally English wine.
  • You are a self-starter, driven to make connections and build relationships.
  • You have a good understanding of all sales channels (especially bars, hotels, restaurants) and a good understanding of premium drinks.
  • Ideally you will bring your existing contacts within the industry (On/Off-Trade and wholesale).
  • You have also a good understanding and working knowledge of brand building with the ability to balance commercial delivery.
  • You are client centric, results driven, proactive and creative, structured, reliable, and inquisitive.
  • Systems knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Excel, Salesforce/CRM or similar.
  • Clean driving license
  • Access to a vehicle

Location

 

  • This role is based at Highweald Wine Estate, Ansty, Cuckfield, RH17 5JB with visits to trade accounts in the southeast as required.
  • You will be required to drive for this role.
  • Some remote working possible.
