National On-Trade Sales Support - Manchester
Title:National On-Trade Sales Support (North)
Hours:Full Time, 35 hours per week
Contract:Permanent
Location:Cheadle, South Manchester
So, what’s the job ‘in one’?
Quite simply, your job is to help us sell wine through outstanding customer service and training. You’ll do that brilliantly, by saying and doing the right thing.
What will this involve?
We want you to help us in every step of the process in selling our portfolio of wines to our On-Trade customers. Boutinot is a really different place to work, so you’ll find supporting our sales team a little out of the ordinary too.
You will be a crucial part of building close relationships with our wonderful On-Trade customers, so that we get to know them and their businesses as well as they know themselves. You’ll do this through running wine tasting/training sessions, assisting in the preparation of tender responses and in the creation of pitches/presentations for new business, as well as helping organise trade shows and events.
You will work closely with our brilliant customer services, marketing and buying teams, so will need to be a great communicator and proven relationship builder not only with our customers, but colleagues alike.
What kind of person are we looking for?
The successful candidate must be confident, sociable and outgoing. You will be ambitious and eager to grow, with the goal of eventually managing and growing your own accounts.
You will have fantastic networking skills across all functions, and be computer literate (particularly Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint).
Ideally you will have a keen interest or knowledge of wine and should have experience, or a good understanding of the requirements involved to supply products to the On-Trade and large restaurant/pub groups in particular.
This is an exciting, interesting and demanding role. Above all, we are in search of someone who is talented and hardworking but also eager to learn and develop. Someone who will enjoy working as part of a close knit, small enthusiastic team, yet can demonstrate the ability to work independently, think for themselves and steam ahead.
You must have a clean driving license.
Why Boutinot? Why now?
We’re an exciting business within a wonderful trade. You can nurture a love and passion for wine, travel, business in an environment where people love what they do.
At Boutinot, you’ll find a distinctive and supportive work environment where your contributions are genuinely valued. This role provides an opportunity to join a passionate team, with the potential for growth and development into an account management position for candidates who demonstrate both aptitude and ambition.
In addition to the usual perks, we offer a range of benefits to support and reward you, including: private healthcare, a generous pension scheme, access to our on-site gym at our Cheadle Head office, the opportunity to stay at our wineries abroad, complimentary WSET training, additional annual leave purchase scheme, a discounted staff account, a cycle-to-work scheme, long-service and special occasion rewards, and an annual profit share bonus.
