Sales & Brand Ambassador - London

Founded by Ed and Ali, Shogun Sakes is bringing premium British made sake to the UK mass consumer market. We want everyone to try sake for its unique and unusual flavours and emulate what has been achieved for British (sparkling) wines over the past two decades. Our brewery produces sake spritz RTD’s to attract a new audience to trying sake. We have created flavours that promote the unique tastes of sake – Bitter Orange, Peach Iced Tea and Lemon & Jasmine. Our cans are low in calories, low in sugar, and don’t contain all of the other artificial and sweetened chemicals that so many RTD’s rely on for flavour. You can count the ingredients on one hand – sake, water, teas and juices. And don’t forget the bubbles!

We will build on this base as we establish our brewery presence, bringing other styles of sake to the market. We released our first batch of sparkling sake spritzes a few weeks ago and the reaction has been amazing. This is a unique opportunity to help drive the growth of sake as it becomes a mainstream drink in the UK, and work with the brand that will achieve this.

Role Description

Shogun Sakes DTC website sales have started very strongly, giving us the platform to hire an enthusiastic Sales and Brand Ambassador to help spread our love of sake around London and the wider UK. As our first Sales and Brand Ambassador, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for driving sales, expanding our customer base, and creating meaningful connections with our audience. This role is perfect for someone who loves to get out and about meeting new people and selling across venues and locations. We are casting our net wide across independent on and off trade venues looking to be the first sake based RTD’s stocked across the capital. You will work closely with the founders Ali and Ed, as well as our marketing team to help shape and promote our brand as we make our mark on the capital and beyond.

Main Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Through market research, you will develop and implement sales strategies focusing on on/off trade to drive new sales growth.
  • Brand Promotion: Yours is the first face people will associate with our brand…you will be representing us, our business, our dreams and aspirations! You will need to become an expert in all that is Shogun Sakes to be able to represent us to the fullest of your abilities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: You will build and maintain strong relationships with our clients, including to ensure repeat business and brand loyalty to Shogun. You will provide regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights to help inform our overall business strategy.

Role Requirements:

  • Sales Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a sales role. Experience specifically in the alcohol or F&B industries are a big bonus.
  • Networking Skills: Strong networking abilities with a track record of building and maintaining professional relationships. Ideal candidates will have existing relationships across the alcohol sector in the UK.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to attend events and meet client needs. While this is a remote role, the expectation is that you will be on the move constantly visiting venues and clients.
  • Self-Motivation: Highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and proactively in a start-up environment. Once you have proven yourself you will be given ownership and free reign to grow the function as you see fit.
  • London-Based: The role requires you to be London based.
