The Whalley Wine Shop are searching for an experienced wine trade professional to join our Management Team and help lead, manage and grow the retail shop side of the business. This is the core element of the business and the smooth day to day running of the shop is cruical to our overall success.

Do you love Wine??

Have you got WSET level 3 or a very high level of wine knowledge?

Have you worked within the wine trade for a number of years?

Have you retail or direct face to face sales experience in the wine trade?

Are you comfortable tasting with suppliers, analysing wines and making buying decisions?

Are you comfortable hosting consumer tastings and passionately selling wine directly to customers?

Are you able to motivate, inspire and lead a team of wine lovers to deliver fantastic customer service?

Are you a natural sales person with the ability to build long lasting relationships with customers?

Are you able to work closely with the owners to ensure profitability, accuracy and efficiency within your area of the business?

Are you looking for a new exciting challenge and with your energy, drive and fresh ideas take a well established, successful, high street wine merchants to the next level of success??

The details:

Wine Shop Manager – full time, 40 hours per week.

Salary – £35,000+ depending on experience

Benefits – Staff discount at The Whalley Wine Shop and Wine Bar, WSET qualification’s paid for, Laptop provided if required, Profit based Bonus scheme TBC, lots and lots of opportunity to travel and taste wine both in the UK and abroad.

Experience required – Min 2 years of retail management or customer sales experience within the wine trade. WSET level 3 or equivalent knowledge.
