Digital Sales & E-Commerce Co-Ordinator
Les Caves de Pyrene is an independent, Guildford-based wine importer, distributor and merchant of wines from all over the world, with a strong focus on those made organically, biodynamically or with minimal intervention. Our (ever-growing) portfolio is wide-ranging, but concentrates on artisanal wines made by hand, that express a strong sense of where they come from.
Job Description:
We are currently looking for a dynamic and motivated individual, with a passion for and knowledge of wine, to handle all aspects of our wine shop’s online presence. Applicants should be self-motivated, organised and have the ability to create engaging and informative content through personal knowledge and broader internal resources, including collaboration with colleagues at all levels. While the role isn’t directly customer facing, a good level of customer service will be required to field customer enquiries and make appropriate recommendations, and a good level of attention to detail will be necessary to ensure stock control procedures can be maintained.
Main responsibilities will include:
Developing and maintaining private customer relationships.
Maintaining and managing physical stock inventory.
Ensuring website is kept updated in line with our physical portfolio – updating vintages, removal and addition of stocks according to availability etc.
Creating design attributes and associated copy, with which to market targeted retail offers – mixed cases etc.
Ensure our online presence is regularly updated with fresh, relevant content, comprising both written and design elements that reflect the Company’s persona.
Work with our PR team to creatively promote the online shop through digital newsletters, targeted sales & marketing campaigns and social media activity.
Engaging with our consultant web-developer to actively improve user experience.
Essential Skills, Experience and Attributes:
A good level of wine knowledge (WSET level 3 equiv. or higher) and a passion to build on that knowledge.
A high level of proficiency with Microsoft software (particularly Excel), and Adobe design suite (In-Design, Photoshop etc.).
Experience maintaining web development backlog.
Experience implementing targeted digital-marketing campaigns using all digital platforms including Instagram and MailChimp (or equivalent).
A good understanding of design best practices.
Ability to quickly understand new business domains and contexts.
The ability to understand and follow inventory procedures to ensure accurate stock control at all times.
Good time management and organisational skills.
Good attention to detail
The ability to put together engaging copy on a range of wine-related topics would be seen as an advantage.
Terms:
Start Date: To start in as soon as possible in a permanent, full-time position.
Working hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday
