The Role:
The Key Account Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the Key Accounts team through data-driven analysis and administrative excellence. This role is dedicated to strengthening our strategic partnership with a major, market-leading key account, ensuring exceptional service and growth within their complex corporate portfolio. The ideal candidate will combine sharp commercial acumen with advanced analytical skills to navigate a complex, multi-channel estate, protect margins, and uncover untapped revenue opportunities.

Reporting to: Head of Key Accounts
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Account Navigation & Governance
- Develop a comprehensive, true understanding of the client’s complex estate to effectively manage their multi-channel structure and procurement nuances.
- Ensure all account activity strictly adheres to contractual obligations and procurement compliance standards across the entire account portfolio.
- Manage the end-to-end New Line Form (NLF) process and digital catalogue maintenance to ensure seamless product launches and maximum availability.
Commercial Analytics & Strategic Reporting
- Advanced Analytics: Execute rigorous weekly and monthly sales analysis alongside gap analysis to identify hidden revenue opportunities and track performance against KPIs.
- Executive Reporting: Synthesize complex data sets into high-level executive summaries and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) packs for senior stakeholder presentations.
- Pipeline & CRM Excellence: Drive the Major Commercial pipeline and maintain absolute Salesforce integrity to ensure all new business opportunities are accurately captured and tracked.
Financial & Price File Management
- Maintain dynamic, real-time price files and manage category-specific uplifts to ensure commercial accuracy and year-round margin protection.
- Take full ownership of retrospective rebate management and resolve complex invoice queries to maintain financial transparency and trust.
Supply Chain & Relationship Management
- Stock Forecasting: Orchestrate stock forecasts for specific client sites and deliver proactive mitigation proposals to prevent supply chain disruptions during menu/inventory changes or seasonal shifts.
- Relationship & Event Management: Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for the client while leading the organization and attendance of key industry events and exhibitions.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Industry Experience: in wholesale or national accounts (wine business preferable)
- WSET Level 2 Qualified
- Advanced Excel: Mastery of VLOOKUPs, Power Query, Pivot Tables, and data visualization (Power BI preferred)
- Financial Acumen and Multitasking
- Ability to distill massive datasets into executive-level summaries for Account Managers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service
- A passion for wine, with a good knowledge of the industry and its trends.
