The Role
We are now on an ambitious and very exciting growth path which is set to revolutionise the way the IWC is run and this means we need an equally dynamic and forward thinking Digital Media Marketing Executive to join our small but perfectly formed team.
Marketing is a key function for the business and we are looking for someone who is a creative thinker and excellent communicator who will have the knowledge and skills to promote the International Wine Challenge and raise the profile of the brand on a global scale.
The Digital Media Marketing Executive will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to execute a comprehensive global marketing plan for the IWC
- Ensuring that all communications adhere to clear brand guidelines
- Working with the Marketing Manager to create professional and effective brand assets which can be used by the team, our entrants, our sponsors and retailers
- Creating engaging and dynamic content to showcase and promote the IWC at its finest.
- Executing an effective entry campaign across all IWC broadcast channels
- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure effective data acquisition, segmentation and management
- Content creation for all IWC digital platforms – social media, broadcast mailer platforms, website.
- Excellent and up to date experience in digital and social media marketing
- Ideally with a drinks related background and a good understanding of wine
- Technically savvy – knowledge and experience of working with broadcast tools such as Dotdigital and Mailchimp
- Fully up to date social media skills and knowledge on how to get the best result from each platform
- Creative when it comes to developing engaging content that works and drives traffic / conversion
- Great digital design skills
- Able to create engaging and dynamic content
- Excellent organisational skills
- Excellent written skills
- Ideally speaks international languages with French, Spanish or Italian being particularly useful in addition to fluent spoken and written English.

• Substantial professional social media experience or studied similar area at degree level
• Interest in the wine industry and a passion for wine and wine tourism
• Strong team player
• Strong communication and inter-personal skills
• Solid written skills
• Excellent grasp of grammar and spelling
• Creative, with an eye for detail
• Ability to multi-task and still hit deadlines
• A love of all things social with a genuine interest in staying up to date with the latest trends
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential, Canva etc
• Filming and video editing skills a bonus
