Wine Development Manager – UK

Role Overview:

Our Wine Development Manager is responsible for implementing & executing strategy for all GHF wine brands, maximising portfolio distribution and positioning across all segments of the UK. You’ll work with a variety of accounts in in the On-Trade, including 5-star Hotels, Michelin starred restaurants, trend-leading pubs and bars, and form a pivotal part of the brand build for our clients.

Working closely with the Head of On-Trade you’ll execute business plans to achieve strategic volume and value growth for our wine brands, whilst engaging in activities that drive brand awareness, desire and trial. It’s a demanding role that puts the successful individual at the heart of our dynamic business growth.

Key areas to focus on will be Central London, South-West England & the Home Counties

Key Responsibilities:

  • –  Grow distribution and outlet positioning of GHF wine brands across the UK
  • –  Manage the sales cycle from start to finish – identifying and qualifying prospects, setting up sales meetings and closingdeals that align with each brand’s strategy.
  • –  Drive brand desire by aligning GHF wine brands with luxury, trend leading & premium On-Trade outlets
  • –  Brand ambassadorial support for GHF wine brands to build upon exiting levels of trade advocacy through tasting, trainings and events
  • –  Develop great relationships with wholesale BDMs and other drinks brands to build a network in your territory
  • –  Continue to build volume and value by enhancing portfolio brand’s positioning on wine lists
  • –  Manage existing accounts; retaining business and growing volume and listings
  • –  Implement trade marketing plans in outlet to drive ROS and visibility
  • –  Management of Wine Development Executive The successful candidate will be:
  • –  Self-motived and a team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done
  • –  WSET Level 3 +
  • –  Passionate about wine with detailed category knowledge of English Sparkling Wine, Provence Rosé & Non-Alc Sparkling
  • –  Highly organised, driven, and resilient
  • –  Proven ability to manage a detailed prospect pipeline and/or track record of On-Trade business development winsReports into: Head of On-Trade
