About The Role
The Trade Sales Executive will be responsible for building and growing MJ Wine Cellars’ presence in both the on and off-trade sectors across the country.

You will work directly with the buyer to proactively source and cater for all trade needs. This is a full-time role suited to candidates with a proven track record in prospecting and sales. The ideal candidate will have an extensive contact list, be numerate and target driven.
You will be expected to achieve sales targets by seeking out and converting sales opportunities, as well as carefully managing budgets and expenses.

Your daily tasks will include but not be limited to customer visits, handling customer queries, assisting customers with creating and editing wine lists, working closely with our buyer to ensure smooth vintage transitions, working closely with our logistics and warehouse team to keep stockholding at an acceptable level, and working as part of the larger sales team to achieve company targets.

This role is an amalgamation of business development and account management, where the right candidate’s entrepreneurial spirit with be encouraged and allowed to blossom.

You will be expected to take on extensive domestic travel and some international travel.

WSET Level 3 or equivalent CMS wine knowledge is advantageous but not essential, as staff training can be provided in the form of WSET qualifications up to Diploma Level.
