SENIOR DIRECTOR - GLOBAL PROCUREMENT MARKETING - LONDON

You are a passionate leader who will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies to maximize value for the business. This includes creating a vision for Global Marketing Procurement, partnering with Regional Procurement, developing long term strategies, leading agency pitches and evaluations, negotiating contract terms; building strong agency relationships and identifying ways to maximize the return on investment from Bacardi’s A&P spend.
Your goal is to become a trusted leader and business partner with Bacardi’s Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Commercial (Sales) functions who creates competitive advantage through increasing the effectiveness of Bacardi’s creative content and ensuring robust measurement and evaluation frameworks on 100% of Bacardi’s A&P spend.
About You 
A member of the Global Procurement Leadership Team, you are a strategic thinker, with strong leadership and management skills, and have a proven track record in Procurement and/or Agency Management. You enjoy collaborating, teaching, and partnering cross-functionally, and are comfortable navigating in a global matrixed environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

With our consumer at the heart your key focus will be
  • A newly created role, the Global Marketing Procurement Senior Director is responsible for creating and overseeing in close collaboration with Marketing Bacardi’s global marketing procurement strategy (Creative, Brand Sponsorship, Digital, Market Research, Venue sponsorship, New Product development, influencers, events, public relations, POSM) for a total spend of over 1BN.
  • Co-Owns the development with Marketing of the Agency Model Strategy & Roster Development. Represents the Procurement Function in the alignment and prioritization of key business needs, internal assessment, external assessment, strategy development, and action plan. Govern the process that leads to recommendation of agencies/roster selection which Marketing will sign off
  • Leads negotiation in terms and details of the contract (incl payment terms). Co-owns the development of appropriate financial KPI’s to ensure ROI on external marketing spend. Responsible to ensure contract compliance in line with Procurement Policy
  • Co-develops performance-based re-numeration models with Marketing Operations; Leads cost benchmarking and cost conversation in partnership with Marketing Operations. Leads external best practices on benchmarking and best in class remuneration structures
  • Leads SOW negotiations including external benchmarking, rate & hour negotiations and contract execution
  • In alignment with the Agency Model Strategy, represents the Procurement function in agency management supporting the marketing function, including performance surveys, KPI development, agency feedback, and action planning.
  • Develop and leads teams and support in their capabilities development
  • Part of the Procurement LT and able to drive change and improvement across the wider organization

  • Strong track record of building strong partnership with external partners and cross functional leaders that lead to better execution and improved results
  • Ability to have influenced, with skill, senior stakeholders (CEO, CMO), peers and external partners and experience of managing significant budgets effectively through change
  • Independent thinker with strong leadership & communication skills, able to inspire internal marketing stakeholders and agency teams
  • A clear strategic thinker, who can connect strategy to world class execution.
  • Experience influencing in a globally matrixed environment and leading in times of significant change.
  • Able to act and think in an agile, flexible way
  • Knowledge of across all marketing channels, and agency landscape to be able to set a
  • Procurement vision/strategy for these categories. In depth experience in Global Media and Creative Agencies preferred
  • Highly analytical – ability to evaluate and clearly demonstrate return on investment
  • Strong Experience negotiating contracts/agreements in indirect services
  • Firm grasp of brilliant basics and a thirst for knowledge
