Regional Trainer

Field Based, with travel across our logistics network.

Depots in the South region – Bedford, Burton Upon Trent, Cardiff, Farnborough, Tiverton, West Thurrock.

Permanent

48 hours per week. Working predominantly on a Monday to Friday basis, however flexibility required to work any 5 days in a 7 day period. Start times to vary between 6am and 8am depending on location of work. Flexibility required to work outside of these times to suit business needs.

We are now recruiting for a Regional Trainer to join us, covering our South area. Reporting to the Health and Safety (H&S) Manager, this role will be responsible for working with the management and H&S team to provide skills required to train out teams of Distribution and Warehouse Operatives to ensure that high standards of practice and H&S are achieved across the network:

Key Accountabilities:

• Oversee large teams of LGV Drivers and Warehouse Operatives across multiple depots, ensuring all relevant qualifications and training are maintained and up to date.
• Shaping and managing the SHE compliance and continuous improvement programs within CMBC Supply Chain.
• Ensure full compliance to support company O Licences.
• Completing training in groups and on 1 to 1 basis.
• Provide and create supporting training materials as and when required.
• Working with the senior management team to achieve operations objectives, such as fuel usage efficiency targets.
• Ensure all transport risk assessments, training records, licences and other Health and Safety documentation is check periodically and kept up to date. Follow up actions as necessary.
• Provide first line support and direction to both the local based management and staff in your area of work.

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Class 2 Driver Licence and CPC
• IT Literate.
• Previous experience training or coaching at both a group and 1 on 1 level.
• PTTL qualification desirable.
• Experience training within an LGV/HGV or Warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of legal driver Compliance.
• Flexibility to travel to conduct training sessions across the UK.
• IOSH Certification, NEBOSH Certification, or similar desirable.
