The Role

The National Account Director at Ferovinum will be responsible for managing and expanding our relationships with national accounts, grocers, and distributors in the UK. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in off-trade FMCG, specifically within the spirits and wine sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales and operational background, with a deep understanding of the UK market dynamics and a proven track record of driving growth and achieving sales targets.

Account Management: Lead and manage national accounts, ensuring strong relationships with key grocers and distributors.

Sales and Operations: Bridge sales and operational strategies to optimize account performance and fulfilment.

Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends by regularly reading publications such as The Grocer and leveraging this knowledge to drive business strategies.

Brand Management: Work with multiple brands to develop and implement sales strategies that enhance market presence and drive revenue growth.

Recent Experience: Maintain up-to-date contacts and knowledge of the UK grocery sector to navigate its rapidly changing landscape.

Export Experience (Bonus): Develop and manage export strategies, particularly targeting markets such as Australia (e.g., Cole’s, Endeavour).

What We Look For

  • Proven experience in national account sales/fulfilment for a major UK-based brands owner or agency.
  • Extensive background in the FMCG sector, specifically spirits and wine.
  • Demonstrated success in selling to national accounts, grocers, and distributors.
  • Strong operational acumen with the ability to bridge sales and operational functions.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and contacts within the UK grocery sector.
  • Experience with multiple brands, avoiding over-reliance on a single brand.
  • Bonus: Experience with export markets
