National Account Manager - Grocery

Job Description

Reporting directly to the Head of the Retail Channel, you will have full P&L responsibility for several key top UK Grocery customers.

You will be required to proactively manage and develop customer relationships to deliver brand growth aligned to strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

  • You will manage number of key National Accounts such as Waitrose, Morrison’s, The Co-operative and Majestic with full P&L management of circa £6 m turnover to Remy Cointreau,
  • Maintain and grow distribution of Cointreau, Remy Martin, Mount Gay, Metaxa, Passoa, The Botanist & Bruichladdich in key customer accounts.
  • Aid with the continued development of the Grocery channel strategy for the UK business.
  • You willn enhance value per case and profitability of Remy Cointreau brands within customer base, whilst seeking out new opportunities and business streams,
  • Create client facing activation plans focused on awareness, recruitment and rate of sale aligned to brand objectives, considering weight and depth on promotion to maximise performance and profitability.
  • You will deliver budgeted volume and profit targets with the defined customer(s),
  • Work closely with other RCUK functions of Supply Chain, Finance and Marketing to ensure the best possible delivery against agreed priorities & targets.
  • You will be responsible for forecasting internally and externally, to always ensure brand availability.
  • You will provide timely and reliable reporting / information on results and developments within the Grocery channel,
  • Create Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key customers to ensure sustainable value growth.

Qualifications

  • You have a significant number of experience inaccount management at national level with top UK grocery customers e.g. Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s or similar,
  • You have a strong ability to identify business opportunities and translate into commercial actions supported by strong rational aligned to brand strategy,
  • You have shown your capacity to prepare, implement, and monitor strategic plans with objectives for key customers,
  • You have also astrong ability to forecast accurately and an attention to detail,
  • You will bring your strong understanding of Retail channel market dynamics,
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills to engage & influence a varied customer base.
