Cooper - Dufftown

Spirit Supply – Cooper

Since the first drop of Glenfiddich flowed through the stills on Christmas Day 1887 in Dufftown, we at William Grant & Sons have been proud to rely on the trusted skills of our Coopers.  We’re now looking for a Time Served Cooper to join our high performing team to continue the tradition and to deliver the high standards that drive our global success.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY

You will be responsible for repairing and rejuvenating casks to set quality standards and ensure that the correct paperwork and accurate data recordings are maintained.  In addition you will sustain high workplace standards at all times to maintain a safe and organised work environment, ensuring that areas for improvement are highlighted, recorded and actioned.    Achieving defined cask quality specifications and conducting basic safety checks will also be key elements of the role.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter with an excellent safety track record. Working accurately is important, so you will have good attention to detail and be able to understand and follow processes.    When things don’t go to plan you’ll be resilient, have a solution focused approach and make sure you support the wider team.  Knowledge of HSE, HMRC, SEPA and other regulatory requirements would be an advantage, as would an awareness of barcoding operations.
