What you’ll do

Know the drinks industry well? Love getting out and about, meeting clients? If so, you could soon be meeting some of ours as an Area Sales Manager.

This is your chance to get to grips with our brilliant client base. With your sector knowledge and people skills, you’ll see customers every day and build terrific relationships. Wine, beer, spirits, soft drinks and water – whatever the category, you’ll boost sales and turnover so each account achieves its potential. What’s more, you’ll have the chance to take Matthew Clark further by driving exciting new business. Success depends on putting trade strategies into action and keeping up with market info. If you’re passionate about our industry, you’ll already be in the know.

About you

Maybe you’ve got solid On Trade experience and want to work with a market leader. Or perhaps you know our sector after working behind a bar, either way, we’ll give you the support to really build on your expertise. But first, you’ll need to show us you’ve got tenacity and the drive to get results. It’s all about connecting with customers and being commercially sharp. If you’ve got potential, we’ll teach you our systems – and help your career to go far.

Got a WSET qualification? Fantastic – but you’ll need more than that to get ahead, this is all about making the most of your natural people skills.

With a full driving licence (six points maximum), you’ll be ready to travel around the area.
