About the role: 

Are you an ambitious sales professional with a background in account management, looking to take the next step into the liquor industry? Australian Vintage is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive distribution, sales growth, and manage key accounts across National & State based accounts. This role is perfect for someone with account management experience who is eager to develop their career further and gain exposure to working with a dynamic portfolio of well-known brands. You’ll be instrumental in executing business plans, building strong customer relationships, and contributing to our long-term strategic growth.

You’ll have the flexibility to work from home while being based in our Balmain office to stay connected with the team.

What you’ll do: 

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring the achievement of sales growth, distribution, and promotional objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and implement tailored strategies to meet annual sales and profit targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and category teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and maximize return on investment.
  • Negotiate pricing, trading terms, and promotional activities to enhance value for customers.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the market, including industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
  • Achieve or exceed sales budgets and KPIs, contributing to the overall success of Australian Vintage.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support business planning and long-term growth strategies.
  • Complete all administration and reporting tasks accurately and on time.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in account management, ideally with exposure to the FMCG or retail sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
  • A results-driven mindset with a passion for achieving sales targets.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of your accounts, while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • A desire to break into the liquor industry and build a long-term career with a leading company.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with attention to detail
