Remote based role with anticipated short commute for Central London customer locations and attendance at the Company’s office at Metal Box Factory, 30 Great Guildford Street, London SE1 0HS when required.

ROLE OBJECTIVE:

Bancroft Wines is looking to recruit a key player in the London on-trade market to work alongside our existing sales team assisting in planning and delivering on strategic objectives to further expand and grow our business representation in the capital.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role requires a self motivated, experienced and well-connected wine industry sales professional with the ability to deliver and develop new business opportunities primarily in the premium on-trade sector.

Key responsibilities will include:-

Securing new profitable accounts with a focus on premium on-trade groups

Developing new markets and new strategies

Building volume of key agencies

Creating effective customer acquisition and retention programmes.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a UK on-trade focused sales role and a proven track record in successfully delivering sales growth, particularly within the M25. Detailed wine knowledge (WSET Diploma level) and proficiency with MS office suite including Power BI required, with demonstrable ability to meet challenging targets, maximise existing relationships and introduce new customers. Strong negotiator with a personable persuasive approach and excellent communication skills essential. European languages beneficial.

HOURS OF WORK:

Fulltime role, based on 37.5 hours per week. Standard hours are Monday to Friday inclusive, between 9:00am and 5:30pm (allowing an hour for lunch) although flexibility is required to work around the commitments of the business subject to agreement with senior management.
