Business Development Manager - Middlesex

Full-time / remote working with office visits / competitive salary + commission

We are an independent, family run, specialist wine merchant based near Twickenham, Middlesex, representing award-winning producers from around the world. We supply to a diverse customer base in the hospitality sector in London, the South East and around the country.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking for four highly talented, charismatic and driven Business Development Managers to join our London and Regional Sales Teams. We are looking to recruit into four separate roles: Central London, South West London, Home Counties, and the South Coast (Sussex, Hampshire & Dorset).

We champion exceptional customer service and are continually developing our portfolio to meet the demands of our on-trade customers.

What’s the role?

You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, targeting and developing new business.

As part of a successful team, you will be contributing to the continued success and growth of the company.
You will:
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
• Build relationships between Ellis Wines and their customers.
• Develop and manage accounts to optimise wine sales and profitability.
• Champion our brand and core values to customers and producers alike.

What are we looking for?

You must have:
• A minimum of three years’ experience in working in the on-trade market, with a proven sales record.
• Great contacts and relationships with on-trade customers in London / Home Counties / South Coast.
• A passion for wine, educated to a minimum of WSET Level 3.
• Excellent verbal, written, numerical and IT skills, with strong attention to detail.
• An outgoing and personable manner, with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Confidence and an ability to work independently.
• Drive and energy.
• Determination to succeed.
