Sales and Events Executive - Kent

Award-winning English wine producer Simpsons’ Wine Estate is seeking a pro-active and highly motivated Sales and Events Executive to join its experienced, international team.  Applicants should have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and a passion for wine.  Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.  This is an exciting time to join this dynamic Estate, which has a growing reputation as one of the top wine producers in the U.K.

The successful candidate will report to the Sales and Events Manager and will:

·       Have strong wine knowledge and sales experience

·       Be comfortable presenting to both large and small groups

·       Have excellent time management skills

·       Exude a strong team-working ethos and an ability to adapt quickly to new tasks

·       Have an eye for detail and strong numerical skills

·       Be dedicated to exceptional customer service

·       Have a current, clean driving license

 

Role Overview:

Trade Sales

·       Account management of local Kent accounts

·       Trade order processing and delivery

·       Trade sales enquiries and accounts receivable

·       Representing the brand at trade and off-site events

·       Providing staff training for trade accounts

·       Hosting or assisting with trade and press visits as required

·       Identifying and managing potential new local trade customers

·       Assist with identifying and managing local corporate accounts

·       Assist with picking and packing trade orders as required

 

Event Hosting & Management

·       Present/Lead Wine Tasting Experiences, Tours and Tastings and Sunset Sessions at the Estate

·       Present and lead a variety of on-site and off-site events including wine dinners

·       Weekend and evening work as required

·       Management of all events bookings via booking system in liaison with Marketing Manager

·       Oversight of events calendar and assist with planning of trade events

·       Respond to all events enquiries and all associated communication

·       Liaison with event partners

 

Direct and Cellar Door Sales

·       Issue & management of gift certificates

·       Liaison with Marketing Manager re. gifting and events flyers,

·       Liaise with Sales Manager re POS materials

·       Assist with picking and packing of direct sales as required
