About The Role

We are looking for a sales account manager to join our growing sales team in Cornwall and Devon. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day account management across both on and off-trade throughout Cornwall and Devon, as well as identifying and prospecting new business and assisting the Regional Sales Manager in key account and wholesale account management. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about our heartland, keen to learn and someone who is ready to immerse themselves in the Verdant brand. Experience in hospitality is a must, sales experience is a bonus, but full training will be given.

This role involves regular visits to venues across both counties, from traditional pubs to modern craft beer bars, from independent bottle shops to larger retail chains. You’ll need to understand each venue’s customer base and recommend beers that fit their needs, whether that’s a sessionable pale ale for a busy pub or a limited-release double IPA for a specialist bar.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining trade relationships with customers
  • Working alongside our existing RTMs as well as building a core of direct business both in the off-trade and on-trade sectors
  • Supporting venues with product knowledge and staff training
  • Seeking out new business and bringing new customers to Verdant beers
  • Working in a target-based environment and contributing to the sales growth of your area
  • Reporting sales data to the Regional Sales Manager and contributing to sales meetings
  • Liaising with the Sales Support Coordinator to ensure orders and deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
  • Arranging and attending events in Cornwall and Devon
  • Attending events and festivals both nationally and internationally

What We Are Looking For

  • We’re looking for someone who is really passionate about our beers, our ethos and everything we do. More so than anything else.
  • You don’t need to be a beer expert, but we are looking for someone who is curious about learning more.
  • Problem-solving approach to customer challenges
  • Comfortable working independently while being part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with good organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadline.

Essential requirements

  • Previous hospitality experience at a management level (understanding venue operations is crucial)
  • Full clean UK driving license
  • Based in Cornwall
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building ability

Preferred experience:

  • Sales or account management background
  • Knowledge of beer styles, brewing processes, or hospitality purchasing

Perks & Benefits

  • Staff discount in all our venues and webshop
  • Company vehicle available
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Company Sick Pay (on completion of probation period)
  • Company Healthcare Scheme (on completion of probation period)
