National Field Sales Manager – UK

The NFSM will be focussed on curating and establishing a high performing & highly engaged sales force of 15 people from the South Coast to Edinburgh and everything in between. This is a unique opportunity to take on two separate sales teams and bring them together as one team for the first time, to help aid our ambitious plans in 2024 and beyond. The NFSM will have a significant role to play within the senior members of the On Trade team, understanding key direction from Channel and Account Managers, and implementing with the field sales force on the ground. There is no specific customer management but there will be plenty of collaboration opportunity with all On Trade customers across Nationals, L&T and Independents.
We are a people first business and so engagement within the sales teams is key for us to achieve our goals. To measure our progress here, we have enrolled in Gallup’s annual engagement survey which relays how our people are really feeling in the workplace. The NFSM will directly contribute to the progress and success of the survey by listening to their people and implementing change where it is required.
There will be a range of KPIs for the NFSM and the Account Managers within the team, across new tap targets, volume growth and creating advocacy. This is all about creating indispensable, value adding relationships with our customers. The right candidate will have their own grasp on sales process and will play a key role in developing Beavertown’s own sales school.

Responsibilities:

  • Build a strategy to deliver key business KPIs and implement with our AM team.
  • Manage budgets to support key business objectives.
  • Increase engagement within the sales team.
  • Identify key accounts in key cities and create a top down approach.
  • Maintain clear, timely communication with customers & stakeholders.
  • Create and implement a sales capability program, with the sole objective of helping develop our people.
  • Support team members on days in trade.
  • Track and report performance of the sales team and present business updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting and data entry into the relevant systems.
  • Manage activations across different On Trade channels.
  • Seek out beer related educational opportunities and keep up to date by reading industry publications.
  • Other duties as intermittently assigned by your manager.
  • Be available to travel to London office on a bi-weekly basis.

Skills and experience required for this role:

  • Previous On Trade leadership roles essential.
  • Previous experience managing high performing sales teams.
  • Strong track record of delivering incredible results.
  • A real sense of urgency in making things happen.
  • Well-developed communication and people skills; effective on an interpersonal level.
  • Strong sales & negotiation skills.
  • Strong judgment and maturity.
  • Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Solid time management skills with the ability to plan ahead and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrate a passion for the industry and our brand!
