Deputy Manager
• 42.5 hour contract
• Base salary £28000, OTE £325000
• Bonus & incentive scheme, no ceiling.

Responsibilities
• To ensure timely opening and closing of the bar
• To run a team that delivers consistently high service
• To maintain highest food hygiene standards, health & safety protocols
and abide by licensing regulation
• In the General Manager’s absence, to act as the team leader and
exercise good judgement on behalf of the bar
• To assist the General Manager in stock control, ordering and
maintaining a viable rota
• To support the General Manager in managing the team with
compassion and honesty, at times including one-to-ones and
performance reviews, but more generally ongoing evaluations, listening
and coaching.
• To identify training opportunities for all members of staff. To undertake
training oneself where offered.
• To communicate with all other members of the team, maintaining
smooth handover between shifts. To liaise with the directors of the
business, report any problems and take direction on the course of the
business.
• At all times to embody the values of the business: integrity, authenticity
and thoughtfulness.
Training opportunities
Upon completion of 3 months probation, the business would support wine
training courses.
Food hygiene course, Health & Safety, personal licensing courses can be
undertaken as appropriate
Plenty of coaching and leadership experience, with a team totalling 11/12
people.
